I'm hardly a fan of the Civilization games, I always found it too slow to get into.

I like strategy games that focus on actual warfare though, rather than handling resources, like the Command and Conquer series, especially Tiberian Sun. One of the best C&Cs made. Period.

I like ones that are based on true stories about real people, like Radio, which is about a young black guy with some mental issues that is befriended by a football coach.

Also, Catch me if you Can is well worth a watch, they took some liberties but why let the truth get in the way of a good story?

You mention L&O...which is your favorite of the three shows with L&O titles?
Actually, there are 4, Law and Order, Criminal Intent, Special Victims Unit and Trial by Jury.

Trial by Jury got axed after only 13 episodes though, wasn't the best L&O series, but it was still good.

Here, on the subject of music videos, what was that one that was deemed "Cannibalistic" because at the end of the vid, the guy started ripping his skin off until he was a skeleton?

I can't remember what it was called, anyone know?

An old friend of mine got me into Linkin Park with the song In the End, one of my favorite songs of all time. My favorite Linkin Park track is What I've Done.  I've heard midis of Numb played roughly 325783 times by my friends on the internet, but never the actual track, I'm thinking of picking up an album.

Man I love The Beatles, those guys are brilliant, only time they screwed up was when they started saying they were bigger than Jesus, but thats old news.

I loved the song "Yellow Submarine" as a kid, hav'nt heard it in well over a decade.

You really should pick up The Roots Remain sometime, it has 3 CDs and a total of 45 fullsized tracks, every one of them being fricken brilliant.

Yeah, I like "Devil went down to Georgia" as well, but my station plays the "Son of a Gun" version, but I assure you, when I sing it, I make it "son of a bitch", like it should be.

I like the music video to In The End by Linkin Park, they do some damn good vids. 192000 by Gorillaz is a pretty good one as well, I like that song quite a lot.
9  Music Genres / Indie/ Rock / Metal / The King, you know who I mean. on: December 01, 2007, 04:34:32 pm
I consider him to be an excellent singer, one of the best back in those days. Had a brilliant effect on the crowds and could get the whole audience screaming from the get-go of a song, just like any great musician you can name.

Shame the drugs killed him, he was only in his 40's when he died.

I like a large amount of easy-listening and chillout music, especially if its melancholic. Like the Chateau Aiguille theme in the game SaGa Frontier.

On a broader scope, I like death metal and just about any kind of instrumental.
11  General Category / Site Suggestion / I think a Gospel/Religious section for music would work. on: December 01, 2007, 04:14:30 pm
A lot of people love gospel singing, and its been around for ages. Not to mention that a good handful of stations are devoted to the genre. I think it would be something worth adding.
12  Music Genres / Country / Charlie Daniels. on: November 30, 2007, 06:23:57 pm
Man I LOVE this guy, I wouldn't say his group is strictly country, but it has the style of it. He's one of, maybe the best, fiddle player ever. I've got The Roots Remain, which is a large compilation of several tracks done by him an his band, I'm even listening to Uneasy Rider just now, funny song.
13  Click 4 Music Junction / Ringtones / Re: How to get? on: November 30, 2007, 06:21:41 pm
I doubt it, I havn't used a mobile in ages, but a lot of them let you compose your own ringtones. If you can read sheet music, you could probably make something from it.

$1/ringtone isn't all that much, and with Christmas around the corner, the companies might give a discount on all the ringtones.

I love the Law and Order series', especially Criminal Intent and Special Victims Unit. I used to like CSI a lot, but its more about facts than drama.

When I had cable, I'd watch Law and Order every chance I got, and with it being on at least one channel on almost every hour of the day, I'd be stuck in my room for the week.

Ice T is a brilliant actor in SVU, especially when he gets aggressive with people who take the piss. I wonder how many cops consider "You keep your teeth!" a good bargaining chip?
15  Music Genres / Pop / Re: Michael Jackson on: November 30, 2007, 06:12:42 pm
Most of those charges against him were BS anyway, and the whole "described his member perfectly" thing, did we ever hear that description in court and have him drop his pants on live TV? Didn't think so. Making slanderous accusations against celebs is the in-thing these days.

He's got a rather unusual voice, but he is a good singer. A tad on the creepy side though by his looks, I mean, he bleached his skin.
