I have grown up with it because my mom is a huge fan. I however cannot stand country music. Most of the time the talent is limited and the lyrics are terrible. They are always about some truck, dog, tractor, or cheating man. I do not know why people like that.

Me and our whole tribesmen love that western stuff. When you walk in bar in our city all you could see are country bars. Love there music it is in our blood.

I mean, the American country only, not the one from my country, US has some great country singers, it is great to hear some country when you're in a bar or similar places, I enjoy that!

yeah i love country songs.. because they do give you that calm feeling although i don't get to engage much. Just something i do listen to when i was so bored listing to metal. they do blend in someways.

Yeah, I also thing that country music is very calming, it makes me feel relaxed to hear some calm songs with beautiful lyrics and that are not "horny music" lol Cheesy

I like old school country such as George Jones, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Conway Twitty, and some Willie Nelson. Conway actually writes some incredible lyrics, although almost all his songs are tearjerkers. I cannot stand this new country that is out these days. It's like they are trying to be so poppy that it sounds more like a Britney Spears song than actual country.

I enjoy listening to country music even though it is not popular amongst my friends.  I love Kevin Fowler and all his beer love’n songs.  I have seen several country concerts and they are more of a beer drink’n good ole time verses the rock out and get plowed rock concerts I have seen.  I guess listening to country just depends on my mood at the time and which station is actually playing music instead of talking.

Not to put a fine point on this, but this is the cliche definition of country, and as such, it's not necessarily so.

Not that country is one of my favorite genres - it isn't - but like most musical styles, it does have its good songs and artists.  I enjoy, although in small doses, singers such as Hoyt Axton, Johnny Cash, Crystal Gayle, Garth Brooks, Waylon Jennings, and Merle Haggard.

Besides, I used to love annoying my last ex by playing "Okie from Muskogee" because she hated the song.

hey i think country is not bad but what about rnb music..... i think its much sexier, i dunno maybe thats just my opinion
