Man I LOVE this guy, I wouldn't say his group is strictly country, but it has the style of it. He's one of, maybe the best, fiddle player ever. I've got The Roots Remain, which is a large compilation of several tracks done by him an his band, I'm even listening to Uneasy Rider just now, funny song.

I love this guy too. I know " The Devil Went Down to Ga" is still overplayed to this day, but who has ever played a fiddle like he did on that song before? Yeah, Charlie is great. I haven't heard all of his songs so maybe I am missing something, but from what I have heard he is definitely country to me. " Simple Man" is just classic. I love what he wants to do with all the criminals in the world  Grin.

You really should pick up The Roots Remain sometime, it has 3 CDs and a total of 45 fullsized tracks, every one of them being fricken brilliant.

Yeah, I like "Devil went down to Georgia" as well, but my station plays the "Son of a Gun" version, but I assure you, when I sing it, I make it "son of a bitch", like it should be.

Grin The "Son of a Gun" version just takes the fun out it ! Thanks for the tip. I think I WILL get that . I have always loved his music, and would like to listen to more of his tracks.
